Create a client
The purpose of the clients module is to create an efficient method to manage clients. It provides all the tools you need to build and manage your client relationships, including:
- Undertake client research to truly understand the needs of your clients. This enables you to have meaningful conversations and offer relevant services.
- Create and assign client development actions.
- Analyse client investment programs to facilitate understanding of potential revenue opportunities.
- View client proposals and engagements.
- Manage approvals related to this client.
There are no pre-requisites to create a client, however to use the strategic relationships module you will need to create a contact for all people within the client that are relevant to your relationship building activities. If you have already defined needs in the markets module, these can be linked to a client.
Follow these steps to create a new client in advaise.app:
- In the menu, navigate to the clients module under the sales category.
- Click on the +add button at the top of the screen.
- Enter the basic client details. Select a market if the relevant market has been created.
Open the client record and complete additional details.
Research:
- Client questions: Assign and answer the pre-populated client questions, and add your own client research questions.
- Key performance indicators: Identify and analyse the client's key performance indicators.
- Financials: Review the client's financial position. If the client stock symbol is entered on the client summary, this information is automatically sourced from third-party data sources.
- Needs: Add needs to the client.
Development:
- Account development actions: Assign and review actions to develop the account.
- Strategic relationships: Analyse key relationships in the account.
- Investment programs: Identify sources of revenue this financial year.
- Proposals: Review proposals with this client.
- Engagements: Review engagements with this client.
- Approvals: Manage approval requests for this client.
Import clients
If you already have an extensive client list, bulk import basic client details using the Import/Export function in the Administration tab of the Organisations module.
Download the template, complete the details, then upload.
Import details include:
- System Id (leave this blank for new clients)
- Name (client name)
- Address (head office address)
- Website
- About (additional client information)
